MIT Plasma Science & Fusion Center
I am currently a grauduate student under Dr. Richard Temkin in the Waves and Beams Division of MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center (PSFC). Some of my more interesting projects are below!
Development of a metamaterial-based electron beam-driven microwave source. Capable of generating 6 ns pulses of 11.7 GHz microwaves at 1 gigawatt of power, this project supports future particle accelerator technology.
A laser-driven sememiconductor switch acts as a "pulse chopper" to create <10 ns pulses of 110 GHz microwaves from a long-pulse gyrotron. Power levels approach 1 Megawatt, allowing testing of new accelerator structures.
